Privacy Policy
How SacBizPages handles your information
1. Our Privacy Commitment
SacBizPages respects your privacy. Our policy is straightforward:
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you enroll, how we use it, and the rights you have as a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information you provide directly to us when you sign up for our services or contact us. This typically includes:
- Business information: Business name, business description, services offered, hours, service area
- Contact information: Your name, email address, phone number, and business mailing address
- Content you provide: Text, images, logos, and other media you submit for publication on your website
- Payment information: Billing details processed through our payment provider (PayPal). We do not store your credit card or bank account numbers on our servers.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or behavioral tracking on sacbizpages.com or the websites we host for our customers.
- We do not collect data about visitors who simply browse our site or your hosted business page.
- We do not require accounts, logins, or passwords from website visitors.
- We do not collect biometric data, geolocation data, or sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to deliver the services you signed up for:
- Building and publishing your business website
- Sending invoices, receipts, and service-related communications
- Responding to your questions or support requests
- Maintaining records required by law (e.g., tax and accounting records)
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service you requested.
4. We Do Not Share or Sell Your Information
SacBizPages does not share, rent, lease, trade, or sell your personal information to any third party for any purpose. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not participate in data broker networks.
Limited Service Providers
The only third parties who may process your information are the service providers strictly necessary to operate our business:
- Payment processing — PayPal handles credit card and payment transactions under its own privacy policy.
- Web hosting infrastructure — Cloudflare provides the hosting and DNS infrastructure that delivers our service.
- Email delivery — Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers transactional emails (invoices, receipts).
These providers are bound by contract to use your information only to provide their service to us, not for their own marketing or sale.
5. Information You Publish on Your Website
The content you choose to publish on your hosted business page (business name, description, phone, email, address, hours, services) is, by design, publicly visible on the internet. Once published, this information can be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, and cached by third parties outside our control.
Do not provide any information for publication that you do not want to be public.
6. Data Retention
- We retain your enrollment information for as long as you are an active customer and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- When you cancel service and your website is removed, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
- Invoices and payment records are retained as required by California and federal tax law (typically seven years).
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), reputable hosting providers, and access controls to protect the information you share with us. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.
8. Children's Privacy
SacBizPages is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the following rights:
- Right to Know — You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including the categories collected, the sources, the business purpose, and any third parties it has been disclosed to.
- Right to Delete — You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., records required for tax compliance).
- Right to Correct — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. This is our standing policy.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Your service and pricing will remain the same.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity using information already on file and respond within 45 days as required by law. There is no charge for these requests.
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written, signed authorization and may need to verify your identity directly.
"Shine the Light" Disclosure
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request a notice describing what categories of personal information we share with third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. SacBizPages does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
10. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because we do not track our visitors in the first place, our practices are the same regardless of whether a DNT signal is present. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
